I am a people person. I am a science person. Because of who I am and what I value, I believe effective science communication is one of the most important aspects of being a scientist. As Communications Coordinator for Freshwater, I get the best of both worlds! In the world of freshwater science, my Ph.D. research focuses on sediment being generated by and transported from forest roads to nearby streams in western Washington. The goal of my research is to determine the most effective and efficient way to mitigate this sediment generation and transport.
